From general to unique, from containers to oversized and specialized, ARRC has experience in shipping all cargo types:

  • a wide variety of general cargo (ferrous and non-ferrous metals, forest products, cargo in big bags, crates, etc.)
  • boats/yachts, helicopters, planes
  • over dimensional and heavy-lift shipments

  • automobiles, trucks, trailers, tractors and other ro-ro equipment

Westbound Traffic comprises mostly of aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, forest products, such as lumber and plywood, and containers. For Eastbound, the Line carries a wide variety of rolling stock, including agricultural, construction, oilfield, drilling and mining equipment, road trucks and passenger cars; project cargo, oversized and overweight equipment for the oilfield, mining and construction industries; containerized cargo.

General Cargo:               Packages of cargo or “parcels” (small quantities) known as “general cargo” and individually carried in the cargo compartments of a ship. Such cargo is not in “bulk cargo” form and not in unitized or containerized form.

Forest Products:             Well known for its excellent quality, Russian Plywood is one of the popular product on the American market.

Non-Ferrous Metals:                         Aluminum is one of the most popular export commodities of the Russian market.

Ro-Ro Cargo:               Our vessels were designed with the primary purpose of carrying Ro-Ro cargo and containers.

Project Cargo:                         Annualy, ARRC moves over thousands of revenue tons of project cargo primarily for the Oil & Gas Industry. We also handle a vast variety of cargo related to agricultural, mining, recreation, cultural, road building and construction projects.

Containers:           Atlantic Ro-Ro Carriers has approximately 3,000 owned ISO containers (20' STD dv, 20' STD HPL, 40'STD dv, 40' HC and O/T) as well as 40' HPL mafi-trailers. Container dispatch is maintained by ARRC, NJ and Baltic Mercur offices, capable to arrange release and positioning in real time and both well in advance and on a short notice.


IMO Cargo:            
ARRC complies with all requirements for the carriage of IMO cargo and holds all required approvals and licenses.

Every vessel in the service has successfully passed shipboard inspections organized by international organizations for maritime transportation of dangerous goods. The following references allow ARRC to offer customers safe and reliable transportation of dangerous cargo:

ARRC strongly recommends to customers to familiarize themselves with the IMDG Code for the classification of dangerous cargo for future transportation. The IMDG Code is the official legal document outlining the rules and requirements for maritime transportation of dangerous goods and maritime pollutants.
